Hand Mixer Project 2013
My approach was to create a conventional hand mixer designed to be fun and full of character. This will engage with the user improving the consumer interaction
An internal view demonstrating how all of the components connect together inside the compact body, including the motor
Changing the method of release, the spring operated front body slides down in order to eject the beaters. Adding to the designs fun characteristic
The product will primarily be manufactured from injection moulded ABS
Final Design
A basic initial project at the start of the university course,the concept simply to design a compact hand mixer/blender.
The design specification was derived through means of Reverse Engineering - taking apart an existing hand mixer/blender, and understanding the components that form the product, and acknowledging its dimensions
An introduction to using the SolidWorks software, developing CAD skills and putting them into practice.
